Preparing Your Child for Success Since 1998

Thank you for your interest in Oxford Schools. Deciding on a school is a BIG Decision. At Oxford Schools, you will find professionally prepared, a challenging academic program, expanded school activities and an environment that is numbered by Christian people.

Located in Delta State Nigeria, Oxford School was founded in the year 1998 and is accredited by the ministry of Education.
The staff, administrators and students of the school will aspire to:

Rules and Regulations for the Student

1. Student/Pupils must resume school before 7:40am as to meet up assembly. A student that is late will be sent home or punished accordingly

2. Returning to school on resumption date: Failure to attend classes on resumption date is an offense when proper notice is not given to the authority. Pupils are advised to resume on the day of resumption.

3. Respect: for self, others, property and authority.

4. Self: Don't let your limitations decide for you

5. Others: Be tolerant of those who are different from you, be patient and listen to others. Show consideration for others regardless of social, ethnic religious or cultural background, age or disability. Recognize the right of others possessing beliefs different from you.

6. Property: Take pride in caring for your environment. Don't litter, damage or deface books, building hallways, desk or other common property. Destruction may attract payment for such property.

7. Responsibility: Be accountable for your actions; think before you act, exercise self restraint and be self disciplined. Think about the impact of your choices on others; accept the consequences of your choices. Don't blame others or take credit for the achievement of others.

8. General tidiness: Everybody shares the responsibility for the general appearance of the school and its surroundings. If you come across a liter, pick it up and put it in the bin.

9. Personal tidiness: Student must be well groomed. Boys must cut hair, use correct belt, sandal, white stockings and uniform will tucked in. Girls are to plait their hair without the use of attachment or extensions.

10. Missing items: Every item you bring into the school should be labeled clearly with your name. You must learn to take responsibility for all your belongings and treat them with respect. Don not leave books or water bottles lying around. If you lose something make an immediate attempt to find it or report to the officer in charge.

11. Absence: If you know you are going to be absent from school, obtain the appropriate permission; we advise students to be regular ins school to meet up the scheme of work for each term. A student with irregular attendance may be asked to withdraw.

12. Stealing: This behavior is highly prohibited. A pupil found in such act will be expelled.

13. Language: Students are advised to use words that are interesting to their colleagues. The use of PIDGIN language is highly prohibited.

14. Core subjects: Pupils are advised to take their core subjects very seriously for a student to be promoted to the next class he/she must pass the Core subjects which, include English Language and Mathematics.

15. Study Time: A student should develop his or her own study skills, the teacher are there to help you to do that if you find difficulties in planning one. Students are also advised to do revision of what is taught at school by reading at home along with home work give form school.

16. Game Room: A student must sign for the key and such a student will be held responsible if there is loss or damage as a result of game room use.

17. Closing/Extra classes: Students are not allowed to go out of the school compound when it is not the appointed time. The closing time is 2pm daily. The closing time for extra classes is 4pm.
